More powerful audio, effects, and Workshop updates

Timeline & editing

  • Audio Equalizer controls let you adjust clip-level audio directly from audio properties, with keyframe support for the pan slider.
  • Regenerating face, body, or hand tracking now correctly replaces older tracking data instead of leaving stale results loaded.
  • Custom effects can use previous-frame and frame-history textures for more advanced time-based visual effects with consistent preview behavior.
  • Custom video outro animations now play in the correct direction in video properties preview cards.

Workshop & community

  • Published effects that use PNG assets now download and display their approved image files correctly in Workshop previews and local installations.
  • Workshop publishing guidance has been updated to better reflect the current community terms.

AI enhancement and smoother editing

AI & media

  • AI Quality Enhancement (Beta) improves perceived detail during export with General and Anime modes.
  • New guidance explains AI enhancement processing times and device-dependent results.
  • Audio Separation splits vocals, drums, bass, and other sounds into separate on-device timeline clips while preserving the original audio.
  • The separation model downloads on first use, can be removed from Settings, and is more reliable on Android.

Timeline & workflow

  • Optical Flow and Frame Blending now work more accurately with speed ramps, including sections below 1x speed.
  • Track cards are easier to reorder with dragging, automatic scrolling, and improved desktop mouse controls.
  • Desktop users can drag the playhead, drag media-library files onto the timeline, and see rotation changes instantly.
  • Media thumbnails are easier to scan, while word-based text animations and custom text-effect controls are more precise.

Community & Windows

You can report unexpected local captions and text-to-speech results, AI notices now include updated third-party and license information, and the Windows package includes the components needed for clean installs.

Workshop & community

  • Stronger checks now protect Workshop submissions and uploaded assets before approval.
  • Only one effect submission can be under review at a time, reducing conflicting versions.
  • Rejection feedback is clearer, and usernames that resemble system, staff, or placeholder accounts are restricted.

Timeline & Windows

  • Effects stay attached to their video, image, audio, or text clips through moves, track changes, project restores, multi-select, and deletion.
  • Effect-only tracks remain dedicated to effects, and clip dragging follows the pointer more naturally without allowing overlaps.
  • Windows fresh installs now include the components needed for editing, media processing, and AI features.
  • Windows taskbar and Microsoft Store artwork now use larger, clearer icons.

Editor improvements

  • Camera tracking has clearer controls and guidance, with more stable face tracking.
  • Sliders across video, image, audio, masks, color, speed, and tracking now share a consistent design.

  • Unused actions were removed from desktop track menus.

Editing & export fixes

Account, privacy & Windows

Refunded or revoked Google Play subscriptions update Pro access more reliably, reporting and blocking were strengthened, and the privacy and terms information was updated. Windows packaging and taskbar icon sizing were improved, and the app no longer requests an unused location permission at startup.

Security & reliability

  • Account, subscription, username, and community-report protections were strengthened.
  • Workshop image uploads and refunded subscription access are handled more reliably.
  • Online service outages now show clear maintenance messages instead of failing silently.

UI & editing

Effect cards were simplified, Windows navigation and typography were refreshed, desktop editor panels became resizable, and the timeline gained more space near its final track. Legal links are clickable from the profile, and advanced custom animated text effects are supported.

  • Playback, rendering, GPU readback, shader caching, memory usage, and project stability were improved.
